the teenage years entail both difficult and rewarding moments. During the years between the cute child and the mature adult, character is molded. I surely remember how my Grandpa Cleophas accepted me and my flaws as a growing child. Grandpa hardly judged me. Instead, grandpa always threw me a reassuring smile that he was on my side and that he is rooting on all of my achievements. He also reassured me time and time again, and even encouraged me with that "big, wide, warm smille" at times that I goofed or scratched myself. As a girl it was kind of strange to hear grandpa Cleophas telling me to "get up and clean your mess" ..... everytime I booboo ....
With his broken English ... one day he told me .. "that you are one excellent girl who likes to explore the universe, and that makes you -international."
My grandpa Cleophas meant a whole lot to me .. then ..... and always. I was devastated when he died at a very early age ... I was only 14 years old.
